DJ Murray

Friday - 17th May

Cutting his dj teeth at roller skating rinks in the seventies to managing bands and producing mini festivals in the eighties and nineties Murray’s playlist spans 5 decades including a large selection of indie artists from the Brisbane indie scene of the late eighties and early nineties.

Flamenco Night

Saturday - 18th May

7pm

Arte Gitana specialise in the Spanish art of Flamenco. With feisty footwork, thrumming guitar and soaring vocals they fill the air with a heady intensity that will pull on your heart-strings, stir your emotions and make you want to jump up and shout “Olé!”. Arte Gitana work hard to present authentic flamenco and love nothing more than sharing their passion. We want to hear you holler as we whip up a storm of passion and percussion to get your blood pumping.

Steven Muller

Sunday - 19th May

4pm

Steven is a classically trained guitarist, who has been gigging around the Northern Rivers for the last 10 years. Playing a mix of classical Spanish pieces mixed in with some Tommy Emanuel and Elvis number, Steve is a diligent entertainer.

Adam Harpaz

Thursday - 23rd May

Adam Harpaz is an indie singer-songwriter/producer from Australia. Adam’s music paints pictures of hope for his listeners through lyrical integrity, warm productions and heartfelt performances. Adam has been featured on Triple J, performed at major festivals such as Splendour in the Grass/Falls Festival and has sold out intimate shows across the country.

Drag Show w/ Foxy Brown-Eye

Foxy Brown-Eye is becoming world famous in the Northern Rivers for her Drag shows. Foxy brings a whole lot of energy and a few foxy dance moves to her performances. She was born to perform.

lil’Flunk

Sunday - 26th May

4pm

Mostly instrumental, playing music from all over the world on an eclectic variety of instruments, lil’Flunk will woo you with romantic pirate vibes all night long…or at least for two 45 minute sets. Aaaaargh! lil’Flunk is a sensitive acoustic mutiny breakaway band, from the larger seven piece group, k’Flunk.

Roo Mackerras

Thursday - 30th May

Roo has played at almost every pub, club and function venue around the Northern Rivers and Southern Qld and used to play solo every Monday night at The Rails in Byron and every Tuesday night at the Great Northern in Byron, in the mid 90s, before kids. He has also won 3 (local) “Dolphin Awards”; 2 for Best Male Vocalist and 1 award for Most Popular Solo Entertainer. He has a very large repertoire of classic cover songs designed to get people tapping their feet, and even singing along and dancing if the vibe is right; and his aim is always to bridge the gap between himself and the crowd … playing to the people, not at them.

Bring a poem on a subject, or by a poet, beginning with this month’s letter ‘L’. Up to 3 mins original poetry. $50 first prize and other prizes.

Lachlan Jacques

Thursday - 6th June

Lachlan Jacques is an artist based in Byron Bay, Australia. He has started to make in-roads onto the country music scene after winning the Tamworth Country Music Festival Walk-Up Showcase and the Bingara Country Music Festival Walk-Up Showcase this year. Through these competitions, Jacques won a recording deal with the Beaten Track Studios where he is currently recording his debut country album.
